Leave Your Mark

Extending the On Location series, this work is the first to feature an animal other than a cow.

This concept was developed to highlight downtown Des Moines while juxtaposing colorful giraffes walking near the central library and Locust Street. The giraffes are symbolic on multiple levels, serving as a reminder that all too often people come and go, yet it’s how they impact our lives that leaves lasting impressions. Through our actions, we celebrate these lasting impacts.
